Architects Design Group was contracted by the State of Florida Department of Community Affairs and funded under the auspices of the Federal Department of Homeland Security to author the "Emergency Operations Center Guidance Publication." This in-depth document is intended has been utilized on a national basis as the planning and design guidelines for EOC/Communication Centers. This document details the step by step process of how to program and design EOC / Communication Centers capable of withstanding a variety of man-made and natural events. It includes detailed information relative to facility survivability, security and the incorporation of building systems specific to facilities of this type.
